Big Brothers Big Sisters of Oklahoma is a dedicated nonprofit organization focused on mentoring at risk children and we are celebrating a major milestone in Stillwater. We’ve served 100 children served in the first quarter of the year. This remarkable achievement marks a significant acceleration in impact, as this same number was not reached until September in 2024.
"This milestone is a testament to the dedication of our mentors, the support of our community, and the growing need for guidance and encouragement among at-risk youth," said Stephanie Fry, Area Director for the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Oklahoma office in Stillwater.
"To have already reached 100 children so early in the year is not just a number—it represents an adventure between a Big and their Little - lives being shaped, confidence being built, and futures being brightened."
Big Brothers Big Sisters provides one to one mentorship, support resources, and community connections to children facing adversity, ensuring they have the support they need to thrive. The accelerated growth of the program highlights the increasing awareness and engagement from community members, volunteers, and donors.
"Every child deserves someone in their corner, and thanks to our dedicated team and supporters, we're able to expand our reach faster than ever before," added Fry. "We’re not stopping here—our goal is to continue scaling up to provide life-changing mentorship to even more children this year."
The organization celebrated this milestone recently with staff and board members.
