The Stillwater tradition celebrates 36 years of community and service.
STILLWATER, OKLA — It is that time of year again! The Harvest II Community Food Drive is truly a long time and much-loved Stillwater tradition of community and service. This year marks its 36th anniversary and the members of the Stillwater Board of REALTORS® are delighted to be organizing this event. The Stillwater Junior Service League (JSL) coordinated Harvest II from 1988 – 2021. In 2022, JSL made the difficult decision to dissolve their organization. The Stillwater Board of REALTORS® would like to remember and recognize the years of volunteerism that JSL contributed to this community food drive and look forward to keeping Harvest II alive and running for years to come.
The Stillwater Board of REALTORS® is excited for the 36th annual Harvest II Community Food Drive. We believe in giving back to our communities and are aware that the need is great for food and essentials for so many. In supporting the eight local agencies through Harvest II Community Food Drive, we hope to help ease the needs of those in our community.
— Julie Bahl, President (2024), Stillwater Board of REALTORS
Harvest II food barrels and bins will be available for non-perishable food collection from October 21 – November 6. Collection barrels will be set up at convenient locations at Stillwater and Perkins schools, participating businesses, and churches. In addition, this program continues to receive substantial contributions and support from the OSU Greek Life and other Student Organizations.
All collected food items will be distributed to the following local agencies: Central Oklahoma Adult and Teen Challenge, Mission of Hope, Wings of Hope, Neighborhood Ministries in Perkins, Our Daily Bread, Payne County Youth Services, Salvation Army and Pete’s Pantry. These agencies make such a significant impact on those in need, so the community’s contributions play an important role.
It is so amazing to see the Harvest II Community Food Drive in its 36th year! As a former member of Stillwater Junior Service League, I am proud of the legacy the League built in its 33 years of serving our community. I am also incredibly proud of our community and the Stillwater Board of REALTORS® for keeping the food drive alive for years to come.
— Amy Parsons, Member, Stillwater Board of REALTORS® and Former JSL Member
